It wouldn't be rivalry weekend if not for some crazy pregame festivities between fans.

Unfortunately, things were taken a little too far before this evening's Texas A&M-LSU game at Kyle Field in College Station.

Texas A&M Police announced that a fan was arrested for attacking another fan during a tailgate.

"Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon: Two fans began arguing over a tailgate spot for an upcoming football game. One hit the other on the arm with a hammer, but claimed it was an accident. The assailant was arrested," they tweeted.

Yikes.

Texas A&M and LSU are set to play at 7:30 p.m. E.T.

The game will be on SEC Network.
