Cubs' Outfielder Addresses His Controversial Donald Trump Photo

He says he was not giving the bird in the picture.

The Chicago Cubs visited the White House earlier today.

Cubs' outfielder Albert Almora Jr. appeared to be giving the finger in one of the pictures taken with President Trump.

Check it out:

Almora addressed the photo before tonight's loss to the Nationals.

He says he was not, in fact, giving the bird.

From CSN Chicago:

“Guys were giving me a hard time about it, but I pointed out the second finger. We’re all good.... Obviously, it’s unfortunate. I’m getting ready to take a picture and I’m posing there. But you guys know that I would never do that to the president of the United States. I respect everybody. It is what it is. We laugh about it now, but there’s definitely two fingers out there.”

So there you go.
