The ESPN host broke down on the air when discussing the shocking news.
Dan Le Batard broke down on the air when he learned of the news of John Skipper’s resignation at ESPN.
Skipper, ESPN’s president, announced earlier today that he was resigning from his position, citing substance abuse problems.
“I have struggled for many years with a substance addiction. I have decided that the most important thing I can do right now is to take care of my problem,” Skipper, 61, said. “I have disclosed that decision to the company, and we mutually agreed that it was appropriate that I resign. I will always appreciate the human understanding and warmth that Bob (Iger) displayed here and always.”
Many ESPN employees took to social media to express their thoughts on the resigning.
Le Batard, who considers Skipper a friend, started crying live on the air.
