Dana White Says Mayweather-McGregor Did 6.5 Million PPV Buys

Here's how many people bought the Mayweather-McGregor fight.

The record for PPV buys for a fight in the United States is 4.6 million, set by Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in May 2015.

Did Mayweather-McGregor beat that?

UFC's Dana White has revealed that 6.5 million people bought the fight Saturday night, but that's a worldwide number. So, it's possible - likely, even - that the number of American purchases is less than 4.6 million.

It's been reported that almost 3 million people illegally watched the fight via a pirated stream, so there were roughly 10 million people watching Saturday night.
