Danica Patrick is racing in the final Daytona 500 of her NASCAR career today. Her race didn't last very long.

The 35-year-old racer was involved in a serious wreck in Stage 2 of today's race. The wreck wasn't her fault, but it ended her day all the same.

Chase Elliott took a big hit and it led to a bunch of wrecks. The wreck took down Patrick.

Here's video of the crash. It's from FOX.

Patrick's car clearly wasn't in shape to go the rest of the way. Check it out:

Patrick had said previously that this would be her final Daytona 500. She is set to run in one more race - the Indy 500.

“I just blurted out, ‘What about Indy? Let’s end [my racing career] with the Indy 500,’ ” she said during her retirement announcement. “This ignites something in me. But I am done after May. Everyone needs to put their mind there. My plan is to be at Indy, and then I’m done.”

Patrick, who entered NASCAR in 2010, was cheered on today by her new boyfriend, Aaron Rodgers. The couple confirmed they were dating at the beginning of the year.

The Daytona 500 is currently being televised on FOX. Ryan Blaney is in the lead.
