Baseball Prospect Released After Video Is Released Of Him Allegedly Beating His Girlfriend

A baseball prospect has been released by his team after a disturbing video was released on Tuesday.

Danry Vasquez, a 24-year-old Venezuelan outfielder who signed with the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball ahead of the 2018 season was released on Tuesday. KRIS 6 in Corpus Christi, Texas, obtained a video that allegedly shows Vasquez beating his girlfriend in the stairwell of a minor league baseball stadium. The publication obtained the video through an open records request on a plea deal that Vasquez agreed to back in 2016.

The video is reportedly from a security camera at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi. It is incredibly tough to watch.

Vasquez was part of the Houston Astros farm system at the time. He was released after the incident.

Vasquez, on Tuesday, was released by the Barnstormers. They issued a statement on Facebook about the decision.

Vasquez reportedly paid a fine and attended classes as part of his plea deal.
