Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas showed former Panthers cornerback Josh Norman who really shuts who down.
Josh Norman, now with the Redskins, made a pretty snarky comment about Demaryius Thomas’ Super Bowl 50 performance in an ESPN piece released Tuesday morning. In his statement, he claimed that Thomas "was supposed to be an all-world guy," but Norman "shut him down.”
Of course, the former Panther was Thomas’ primary defender during last year's Broncos victory.
But was Thomas phased by his opponent's attempt to trash talk his game? Not one bit.
Instead of lashing out at Norman, the receiver posted a single picture to Twitter today: a close-up of his Super Bowl 50 ring. The caption read, "Where yours at young fella?" with a direct shoutout to Norman.
Check it out:
From the looks of it, Thomas got the final shut down.
Norman, however, did commit a key holding penalty against Thomas on 3rd and goal in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. The gaffe gave the Broncos a new set of downs and running back C.J. Anderson punched in their lone offensive touchdown on the next play to give them a 24-10 lead.
