Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant hasn't signed on with an NFL team for this fall, but he seems to be communicating to the public that he has at least one offer. Bryant, who met with the Cleveland Browns last week, responded to an Instagram comment suggesting as much.
Bryant took to Instagram to help promote his friend's real estate business in Texas. When a fan asked him why the real estate agent can't "help" him get a contract, Bryant responded that he already has an offer.
He says he has a contract offer from the Browns on his phone. Obviously, he hasn't acted on it just yet.
If Bryant is telling the truth, he clearly wasn't willing to just accept whatever the Browns offered him. He either wants a better deal or he isn't sold on the idea of playing for Cleveland.
Bryant's comment doesn't seem to be up anymore, but many took screenshots. It's NSFW:
The Browns are in an interesting position at wideout. They traded for Jarvis Landry and drafted Antonio Callaway. But the real question mark comes regarding Josh Gordon, who may or may not play this season. As such, it's hard to know how Bryant would fit in. It wouldn't be a surprise to hear that an offer to Bryant would factor all of that in.
Either way, there are only a few weeks left before the season starts. Bryant remaining jobless is somewhat of a surprise.
