Dick Vitale Thinks This Head Coach Has An Unfair Advantage

Dick Vitale breaks down the NCAA Tournament.

ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale took to Twitter late on Saturday night to voice his opinion on an issue much of the college basketball world has debated. He thinks a major college basketball head coach has an unfair advantage.

Kansas head coach Bill Self recently led the United States' U18 team to a win over Canada in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship gold medal game.

Self is far from the first major college basketball coach to lead a United States' national team, but there are some - Vitale included - who think it's an unfair recruiting advantage.

Vitale took to Twitter to express his thoughts.

"I said it once and I will say it again / college head coaches SHOULD NOT be eligible to coach 18/u team / a big advantage in recruiting," he tweeted.

Here's the full tweet:

Vitale thinks the teams should be led by top high school coaches instead of college coaches.

Major college basketball coaches like Self, Mike Krzyzewski and Sean Miller, among others, have all spent time coaching USA Basketball.
