Dick Vitale Names The 2 NCAA Tournament Games That Have Shocked Him

Dick Vitale breaks down the NCAA Tournament.

The 2018 NCAA Tournament continues tonight. The Sweet 16 begins in about an hour.

It's been a surprising tournament so far. Several high seeds have gone down.

The most-shocking result, of course, was No. 1 seed Virginia losing to No. 16 seed UMBC. It was the first 1/16 upset in the tournament's history.

ESPN analyst Dick Vitale was unsurprisingly stunned by that game. But there was another game that really surprised him, too.

That game - Texas A&M's shellacking of North Carolina. Vitale wasn't shocked to see UNC lose, but he was shocked by the manner in which they lost.

Here's what he said, via the Bradenton Herald:

"Yeah, the way they got beat. See, Texas A&M had a great preseason ranking. They sort of slid there. Suspensions, had academic problems and then all of a sudden they got a little bit hot at the end and earned a bid. And they were good enough rebound-wise, strong on the glass and not surprised they beat Carolina. I’m surprised they beat them by 21 points."

Texas A&M moved on to the Sweet 16, where it'll face Michigan.

The Aggies and the Wolverines are set to tip off at 7:37 p.m. E.T. The game will be on TBS.
