Here's Who Dick Vitale Is Taking To Win the Kentucky-Kansas State Game

Dick Vitale thinks John Calipari has his young squad "peaking" at just the right time...

On Thursday, No. 5 Kentucky takes on No. 9 Kansas State for a spot in the Elite Eight and Dickie V thinks the Wildcats (the Kentucky Wildcats, that is) have the edge in this match-up.

After dropping four straight to start February, Kentucky has gone on a 9-1 run. Vitale credits the turnaround to the emergence of Kentucky's break-out star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who he called "absolutely brilliant."

Vitale also said that the freshman guard who is averaging over 23 points per game in the tournament is the catalyst for the Wildcats' recent run, adding that Gilgeous-Alexander "

The ESPN college basketball analyst also thinks Hamidou Diallo is finally playing up to his potential. Diallo had himself a game in Kentucky's win over Buffalo scoring 22 points and pulling down eight boards.

The third key to a victory for Kentucky is they must continue to protect the ball. Dickie V pointed out that no one is talking about the fact that the Wildcats have limited their opponents to ten turnovers or less in their last five games.

If UK advances, they'll face the winner of the Nevada-Loyola game.
