Duke's First Round Opponent Took A Shot At Grayson Allen

Grayson Allen shushes the crowd during a Duke game.

Duke is one of the NCAA Tournament's first games on Thursday. It should be a good one.

The Blue Devils, a No. 2 seed, are set to take on No. 15 seed Iona. Plenty of people will surely be rooting for the upset in this one.

Duke, of course, is led by senior guard Grayson Allen, who's become the most-hated player in college basketball for a variety of reasons.

One of those reasons: His tripping incidents. There have been a couple of them.

Duke's first round opponent, Iona, was asked about Allen's history. They're not fans of it.

From lohud.com:

Allen has also been widely criticized for multiple tripping incidents during his years in Durham. Iona guard Rickey McGill, a junior from Spring Valley, acknowledged that he and teammates have discussed Allen's past antics.

"The tripping stuff, I'm not really a big fan of that," McGill said. "If he wants to start tripping then we can turn it into a tripping match. But I'm not really getting into that."

Let the trash talking begin.

Duke and Iona are set to tip off at 2:45 p.m. E.T. on Thursday. The game will be televised on CBS.
