Dwyane Wade is a free agent at the moment, but at the age of 36, he doesn't command quite the market he once did. Wade appears to be taking his time when it comes to making a decision, too - and Monday, he gave the AP's Tim Reynolds an update on what he's thinking.

Wade made it clear that family will drive his decision. Wade is married to Hollywood star Gabrielle Union and has three sons - two from his first marriage and one with another woman. His sons are age 16, 11 and 4. He currently lives in Miami.

Some believe that Wade is considering retirement. Others think he's just taking his time to weigh his options and will ultimately return to the league.

Wade averaged 11.4 points per game last year for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat.

Does Miami want Wade back? According to Pat Riley, yes. The team is reportedly willing to be patient, too.

"I want him back as a player," Riley said. "I want him back as a competitor. I want him back as a guy who wants to have the greatest year he ever had as a player. I read more articles about 'Dwyane being done, he's lost a step, he's not the same player, he might not have the same motivation.' But I still see a player who can contribute heavily if he really wants to."

Wade's quotes Monday make one thing clear - if he's serious about making decisions based on his family, playing in China won't be in the cards. Wade was offered a deal by the Zhejiang Golden Bulls for three years, $25 million last week.
