British golfer Eddie Pepperell is quite a character - especially on his Twitter account. Ahead of The Masters this year, he posted two ridiculous tweets that show he's a bit different from most of the golfers on tour.
Pepperell, after registering for the event, noted that he's excited that he's No. 69. He said he was the 68th golfer to register, but since last year's winner Patrick Reed automatically gets No. 1 and doesn't have to register, that's the number he wound up with.
Pepperell also called Fred Couples the George Clooney of golf, and then referred to himself as the Brad Pitt of golf.
He hasn't tweeted since the event started, but if he makes the cut Friday night, look out:
Perhaps Pepperell should find a way to hang out with former New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski now that he's retired. Gronk loves a good 69 joke.
Pepperell, in his first round on Thursday, shot a 74 to finish two-over par. He'll need to improve on day two if he wants to stick around for the weekend.
