Elena Delle Donne Reveals She Is Gay In "Vogue" Article

WNBA star Elena Delle Donne, who is arguably the league's best player, has revealed that she is gay in a recent article with Vogue. Delle Donne, who plays for the Chicago Sky and was named the WNBA MVP in 2015, dropped the news casually in a comment about how she spends her free time.

Per OutSports, she is engaged to a woman named Amanda Clifton.

"Elena divides her time between traveling with her team, the Chicago Sky, and her family’s home in the rolling green landscape of Wilmington, Delaware. She and her fiancee, Amanda Clifton, keep apartments in both Chicago and Wilmington."

Delle Donne, who, at 6-foot-5, can play both guard and forward, starred at Delaware before being drafted No. 2 overall back in the 2013 WNBA Draft. She is currently averaging 21.2 points per game.

Elena Delle Donne and Clifton have shared photos together on social media.

Delle Donne is far from the first WNBA athlete to come out publicly. She is currently competing for Team USA in the Olympics.
