After an abysmal performance against the Eagles, Eli Manning was put on blast for his inability to generate success down the field. Despite all the weapons surrounding him in New York, it appears his time is coming to an end.
Toward the end of last season, former head coach Ben McAdoo made the bold move of benching Manning for Geno Smith. Not only did that infuriate the fan base, but it also hurt McAdoo’s relationship with New York’s ownership.
Well, Manning continues to struggle and all the criticism that surrounded McAdoo is slowly disappearing.
Although Smith now plays for the Los Angeles Chargers, he’s clearly watching the Giants crumble this season. In an interesting tweet, Smith said “Y’all owe my boy Mac an apology!!”

Smith is referring to McAdoo’s decision to bench Manning in 2017.
Regardless of Smith’s stance on the situation, it’s becoming obvious that Manning’s skill is declining quickly. Unfortunately for the Giants, last year’s deficiencies are haunting their current roster.
