Here’s when the iconic show will come to an end.
ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike has an official end date.
The show, which has been on the air for roughly 18 years, will come to an end in November.
We knew this day was coming at some point – Mike Greenberg is leaving the show to start his own TV morning show on ESPN – but we didn’t have an exact end date. Now we do.
ESPN has announced that Mike & Mike‘s last show will be Friday, Nov. 17.
ESPN Radio will debut its new morning drive show, Golic & Wingo, hosted by Mike Golic and Trey Wingo, on Monday, Nov. 27. The program will air from 6 – 10 a.m. ET on ESPN Radio and will initially be simulcast on ESPN2 before moving in early January to its simulcast home on ESPNU. Mike & Mike will conclude its nearly 18-year run on November 17.
Mike Golic, Jr. will join Golic & Wingo from 6 – 7 a.m. daily. He will continue to host ESPN Radio’s First & Last from 4 – 6 a.m. every weekday before contributing to the new morning show at 6 a.m. Golic & Wingo will also be available via ESPNRadio.com, the ESPN app, SiriusXM Channel 80, Apple Music, Slacker Radio and TuneIn. A daily podcast will also post on ESPNRadio.com and will be accessible through the ESPN app.
Greenberg and Golic addressed the ending of their show in an awkward segment in May. Golic in particular appeared to be bothered by what was going on. He’s getting a new show, though, one that will be co-hosted by Trey Wingo and include appearances by his son, Mike Jr.
ESPN has more significant changes coming to its daily lineup in 2018. Along with the new morning show hosted by Greenberg, Bomani Jones and Pablo Torre will host a daily show at noon on ESPN.
