Here Is How ESPN Is Reportedly Replacing Chris Berman On NFL Coverage

ESPN has reportedly settled on a way to Chris Berman on upcoming NFL coverage.

The network will use a three-pronged approach to handle Berman's departure, according to James Miller, who wrote the ESPN history Those Guys Have All The Fun. Berman stepped down from his long-held roles on Sunday NFL Countdown and NFL PrimeTime after the Super Bowl.

Sam Ponder, who is best known for her role on College GameDay and also serves as a sideline reporter for college basketball and football, will work Sunday Countdown. Suzy Kolber gets Monday Night Football while Trey Wingo holds down draft coverage.

The most notable part of Miller's tweet is Ponder getting a bump to NFL coverage. She's well-known and well-liked on GameDay, and now the popular weekly college football show will have to find her replacement.

Kolber and Wingo are mainstays at the network, and have extensive work covering the NFL. Wingo currently co-hosts NFL Live.
