ESPN Computer Releases New College Football Playoff Prediction

ESPN has updated its College Football Playoff prediction heading into the ninth week of the 2018 season.

There have been some major changes to ESPN's projections, as then-No. 2 Ohio State fell in a blowout to Purdue this past Saturday night.

The Buckeyes can still make the College Football Playoff if they win out, but they are no longer the favorite to make it out of the Big Ten.

Here is ESPN's latest projection:

  1. Clemson
  2. Alabama
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Michigan

Yes, the Tigers have a better chance of making the playoff than the Crimson Tide, according to ESPN's projections. Clemson is at 88 percent while Alabama is at 85 percent.

This makes sense, considering Alabama still has games left against LSU and (presumably) Georgia, while Clemson gets to play in a down ACC.
