ESPN FPI Ranks The 10 CFB Teams With Best Chance To Go Undefeated This Season

ESPN Analyst Names Sleeper Team In The SEC In 2018

The team with the best chance of going undefeated this fall is not the team appearing No. 1 in most preseason polls. 

According to ESPN's Football Power Index(the "best predictor of a team's performance"), Oklahoma - not Alabama - is the team most-likely to go undefeated heading into bowl season. 

While the Crimson Tide are the likely preseason No. 1, it's the Sooners with the best chance of reaching the College Football Playoff. 

Here's the full top 10:

  1. Oklahoma - 16.9 percent chance of going undefeated before bowl season
  2. Florida State - 10.6 percent
  3. Clemson - 8.6 percent
  4. Boise State - 8 percent
  5. Michigan - 5.8 percent
  6. LSU - 5.3 percent
  7. Tennessee - 4.5 percent
  8. Oklahoma State - 2.4 percent
  9. Washington - 1.4 percent
  10. Notre Dame - 1.2 percent
