ESPN reporter Jen Lada appears to be pregnant.
ESPN reporter Jen Lada has been all over our television screens during this college football season, but on Saturday, she announced some news we would have never guessed. On Saturday afternoon Lada announced her pregnancy via Instagram.
If you’re unfamiliar with Lada, she joined the network back 2015 after working for Comcast SportsNet in Chicago. Here’s a synopsis of her work, via ESPN’s Media Zone:
Jen Lada is a contributor to ESPN’s digital platforms and to ESPN’s College GameDay. She conducts interviews and previews for Headlines segments and is part of ESPN’s Department of Highlights. She also creates content for ESPN Radio’s digital platforms and contributes to SportsCenter and Mike and Mike.
In September 2016, Lada was named a Features reporter for College GameDay. She regularly files stories for the popular Saturday morning college football pregame show.
Since joining the company in July 2015, Lada has also made guest host appearances on a variety of ESPN Radio and television shows, including Baseball Tonight.
Lada announced the news via Instagram with a photo of her baby bump. She tagged Yankee Stadium, so it was probably taken during the Iowa vs. Boston College Pinstripe Bowl. Very cool.
Lada did a spectacular job of keeping her private life private this season, despite appearing on camera for the majority of the 2017 college football campaign.
Lada’s husband Dario Melendez is a former ESPN anchor himself. The two appear to have been married this past fall. Lada posted photos on Instagram of herself from the wedding.
