ESPN President John Skipper Announces He's Cancelling Barstool Van Talk

ESPN's newest show has been canceled.

It seemed like an unlikely marriage to begin with, but after the controversy surrounding Barstool and ESPN personality Sam Ponder, ESPN has decided to move on from Barstool Van Talk.

Sam Ponder and Barstool got into it on Twitter last week, and it looks like that controversy boiled over the edge. Ponder called out Barstool for what was said on a blog and a podcast a couple of years ago. Barstool's founder, Dave Portnoy, called Ponder a "slut" while Big Cat, the co-host of Van Talk, laughed along.

ESPN president John Skipper announced the cancellation decision via a press release.

The show is being cancelled effective immediately.

The show was given just one episode as Big Cat and PFT Commenter debuted their new show just last week.

The two co-host the wildly popular Pardon My Take podcast which is consistently atop the iTunes charts.
