Every Tuesday, ESPN releases its latest "Bottom 10" rankings. Each week, a new Power 5 team makes an appearance after a poor performance.
It is Colorado's turn this week. Now, the Buffaloes are 5-3 overall and likely headed to a bowl game, but they earned their spot in the "Bottom 10." ESPN likes to include quality Power 5 teams coming off bad losses, and boy, Colorado's latest loss was horrific.
On Saturday, Colorado blew a 31-3 lead to lowly Oregon State and lost to the Beavers at home. It was Oregon State's first road Pac-12 win in four years.
It was also Colorado's third loss in a row. That is enough to get you on this ignominious list.
Here is ESPN's full "Bottom 10" after Week 9:
- UTEP
- Rice
- UConn
- Bowling Green
- Colorado
- Rutgers
- Western Kentucky
- UNLV
- Central Michigan
- New Mexico State
This weekend, we have a very special "Bottom 10" showdown. The top two teams on this list, UTEP and Rice, will meet head-to-head. UTEP is 0-8 while Rice is 1-8.
Will the winner be able to make it out of these rankings? We'll see.
