We should know Ohio State's decision on Urban Meyer soon. The process took another important step today.

Ohio State's Board of Trustees met with the investigative committee that has been handling the Meyer probe. The committee concluded its investigation on Sunday night.

Today, it briefed the board on its findings. The Board of Trustees will convene again Wednesday morning, and a decision on Meyer's future could come soon after.

According to ESPN's Dan Murphy, the meeting today between the board and the committee lasted just under three hours. It ended around 5 p.n.

Meyer has been on administrative leave for nearly three weeks. He is being investigated for his handling of domestic abuse allegations against Zach Smith, his former assistant coach.

Earlier today, the Columbus Dispatch reported that a suspension was Meyer's "most likely" punishment. It seemed like things have been trending this way for a while now, but we won't know for sure for a few days.

Stay tuned for the latest on Meyer. A decision might be announced Wednesday, with Thursday or Friday looking like the latest it will come.

We'll keep you posted.
