On Friday afternoon, a major trade shook up the Major League Baseball world. The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a trade with the Cincinnati Reds that included MLB star Yasiel Puig and three-time All-star Matt Kemp.

Most of the immediate reaction was focused on the Puig portion of the trade, the secondary reaction included someone not in the trade at all. Star free agent Bryce Harper is still on the market and many think this move by the Dodgers is a play to get the former Washington Nationals star.

The Dodgers were able to clear cap space in the trade, and open a spot in their outfield - a perfect match for the needs in acquiring Harper.

Harper met with the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees, among others during his free agent tour.

The Nationals reportedly offered Harper a 10-year, $300 million deal and they remain in the hunt as well.
