Everyone's Betting On This Horse At The Kentucky Derby Today

My Boy Jack warms up for the Kentucky Derby.

We're just under six hours from the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby and one horse is getting all the bets today. In the 24 hours leading up to the Derby, one horse has received a heafty betting streak.

According to Business Insider, gamblers have started betting heavily on My Boy Jack to win the race, and he's now the second-favorite. Yesterday, his odds sat at 20/1, but in the day leading up to the race, his odds have dropped all the way to 5/1.

Why?

Rain.

Showers are in the forecast for much of the day at Churchill Downs, and My Boy Jack has already shown he can win in the mud.

The reason for the sudden influx of money on My Boy Jack is the weather. It is expected to rain all day at Churchill Downs and My Boy Jack is one horse with a proven record on a muddy track having won the Southwest Stakes easily after pulling away on the homestretch.

Rain is expected to continue throughout the day, which has led to a muddy track. It'll be interesting to see how the horses deal with the conditions today.

Post time for the Kentucky Derby is 6:34 p.m. ET, though there are 11 other races on the agenda.
