The New York Giants experienced an absolute nightmare scenario last night, as Eli Manning and the offense were downright putrid at home. Instead of gaining ground in the division, the G-Men officially hit rock bottom.
At 1-5, the Giants’ season is slipping away, which means management will have to plan for the future. While the front office received criticism for taking Saquon Barkley over a quarterback in the first round, New York did select Kyle Lauletta in the third round.
Even though the Richmond product might not be ready for the NFL, the majority of the football world is ready for him to replace Manning.
Not only are fans waiting for a change at quarterback, but even ESPN’s Louis Riddick is anxious to see Lauletta on the field.
Kyle Lauletta. Want to see him.

Last night, Manning completed just over 55 percent of his passes and couldn’t throw the ball down the field. With the two-time champion struggling, maybe the calls for Lauletta are accurate.
At what point does the evaluation of Kyle Lauletta start?

The consensus view on Twitter is that Manning’s time is up, which means the Lauletta era could begin.
Should the 1-5 #Giants bench Eli Manning and begin the Kyle Lauletta era?

Next week, the Giants face the Falcons on the road. If Manning wants to retain his starting role, he’ll need to shine against Atlanta’s porous defense.
After all, another poor showing from Manning will just make the calls for him sitting on the bench even louder.
