FiveThirtyEight put out an interesting graphic on Friday.
Ever wondered which way your favorite NFL team's fan base leans politically on the whole? FiveThirtyEight took a shot at quantifying just that this month - putting together a graphic that shows the "political leanings" of every franchise's fan base.
FiveThirtyEight's study was done via a SurveyMonkey Audience poll of 2,290 American NFL fans in early September. They note that the average margin of error was +/- 7 percentage points.
On average, the average fan base was six percentage points higher for Democrats. Here's more:
Here’s the breakdown of each fan base by party affiliation, according to our poll. Keep in mind that more Americans self-identify as Democrats than Republicans. In our poll, the average team’s fan base is made up of 6 percentage points more Democrats than Republicans. The key is to look at how each team’s fan base compares to the average.

On the whole, there isn't anything too surprising here. Fans of six teams - the Titans, Bills, Jaguars, Cowboys, Texans and Buccaneers - swing Republican.
Keep in mind - this was done before Trump's comments last Friday. We're not sure if the statistics would have changed since.
