A veteran four-star player has reportedly left his team a couple of games into the 2018 college football season.

Calvin Brewton, a four-star defensive back, has left Florida State's football team, according to a report that has since been confirmed by the school.

News of the departure was first reported by the Tallahassee Democrat on Thursday.

Brewton was ranked the No. 17 defensive back in the country coming out of high school in 2015. He didn't appear in Florida State's most-recent game.

FSU is 1-2 to start the season, coming off a loss to Syracuse.
