Florida State WR George Campbell Ruled Out For The Season

Florida State sophomore wide receiver George Campbell didn't play in last week's win over Ole Miss. He won't play in any games this season.

Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher announced today that George Campbell will miss the rest of the 2016 campaign with a core muscle injury that requires surgery.

The 6-foot-4, 207-pound Campbell played in 11 games as a freshman in 2015. He saw mostly special teams action but also reeled in three receptions for 42 yards.

Campbell is a former five-star recruit out of Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake High School.

Florida State hosts Charleston Southern this weekend.
