We had a pretty big upset in the NCAA Baseball Tournament on Saturday night. One of the top national seeds is going home.
Florida State, the No. 7 team in the country, was hosting Mississippi State in an elimination game in Tallahassee, Fla. The Seminoles lost on a walkoff.
FSU lost, 3-2. The ACC program's NCAA Tournament run is now over.
The Seminoles' season ends with an extremely controversial decision from their manager, Mike Martin.
There was a 2.5 hour rain delay near the end of this contest. Martin opted to stick with starter Drew Parrish after the long delay, despite the fact that he'd thrown more than 100 pitches.
Parrish then walked two hitters - the only walks he gave up all game - and then allowed a 3-run walkoff homer.
Florida State's season is now over. Martin, unsurprisingly, is facing some serious criticism heading into the offseason.
The NCAA Baseball Tournament continues today.
