Florida's Caleb Brantley Appears Motivated By All-SEC Snub

Caleb Brantley thinks he'll be the best defensive lineman in the country this season.

If he is, the SEC media doesn't know it yet.

Florida's junior defensive tackle was left off all three of the media's preseason All-SEC teams (which you can view here).

Brantley appears motivated by the snub.

These are the defensive linemen the media expects to be better than Brantley this fall:

  • Alabama's Jonathan Allen
  • Texas A&M's Myles Garrett
  • Auburn's Carl Lawson
  • Tennessee's Derek Barnett
  • Auburn's Montravius Adams
  • Florida's Bryan Cox
  • LSU's Davon Godchaux
  • Missouri's Charles Harris
  • Ole Miss' Marquis Haynes
  • Arkansas' Deatrich Wise
  • Florida's Cece Jefferson
  • Mississippi State's A.J. Jefferson

Brantley totaled 29 tackles, 6.5 for a loss, last season for the Gators.

Florida opens its 2016 season Sept. 3 against UMass.
