Yesterday, the Vikings and Packers put on an absolute show for NFL fans everywhere. Unfortunately, rookie kicker Daniel Carlson missed a 35-yard field goal attempt for the win, resulting in a tie.
Carlson also squandered two other field goal attempts earlier in the game. With championship aspirations in Minnesota, the front office has just made another statement to the rest of the league.
Not only are the Vikings releasing Carlson, but they’re adding the best kicker available on the market.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Vikings will sign former Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey.
The #Vikings, loaded basically everywhere, have just agreed to terms with the second most accurate kicker in NFL history. Dan Bailey waited for the right deal, now lands in Minnesota.

Bailey waited for an opportunity to join a title-contending roster, as he previously declined other offers.
Although he was released by Dallas, Bailey is one of the most accurate kickers of all-time. He currently ranks in second, making over 88 percent of his attempts.
If Bailey can revert back to his days with the Cowboys, the Vikings will be an even bigger threat in the NFC.
