Former Duke men's basketball star Marvin Bagley is one of the top prospects in the 2018 NBA Draft class. Some projections have him going as high as No. 2 overall to Sacramento.
Big-time endorsement deals come with being a top NBA Draft pick. This will be the case for Bagley.
The former Blue Devils' star, though, is reportedly signing what might be considered a shocking endorsement deal.
The Athletic is reporting that Bagley will be signing a five-year shoe deal with Puma. It's expected to be one of the biggest rookie shoe deals ever.
"Marvin Bagley, projected to be one of the top picks in the NBA draft next week, is going to sign a five-year deal with Puma that is expected to be the largest rookie shoe deal since Kevin Durant," reports Jon Krawczynski.
He added that Bagley is not the only top NBA Draft prospect Puma is talking to.
"Puma is believed to be negotiating with other draft picks as well to jump into the NBA shoe game," he reports.
Good for Bagley. And Puma.
The 2018 NBA Draft is set for next Thursday night. It will be televised on ESPN.
