A former ACC men's basketball head coach has reportedly landed a new gig.

ESPN's Jeff Goodman is reporting that former N.C. State head coach Mark Gottfried is set to become the next head coach at Cal State Northridge.

The school currently does not have an athletic director, but the hire is still expected to get done.

"Cal State Northridge expected to hire Mark Gottfried, sources told ESPN. No athletic director, but president was principal player in decision."

Gottfried, 54, was N.C. State's head coach from 2011-17. He led the Wolfpack to four NCAA Tournaments, including two Sweet 16s. The former Wolfpack head coach was also the former head coach at Alabama. He led the Crimson Tide from 1998-2009. He has an overall coaching record of 401–241. Gottfried is an Ohio native. He played collegiately for Alabama from 1984-87.

An official announcement on the hire could be expected soon.
