A former NBA point guard is claiming there’s a “35, 40 percent chance” LeBron James signs with a team no one is talking about. We’ve officially entered peak LeBron James Free Agency Rumor Season.
Earl Boykins, who played in the NBA for a decade-plus, last in 2012 with the Houston Rockets, appeared on the radio today and said there’s a strong chance James signs with the Denver Nuggets.
Yes, those Denver Nuggets.

“He’s gonna look at Denver. He’s gonna talk to [Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly], and he’s gonna say ‘if I sign here, what moves are you gonna make? What’s gonna be left if I decide to sign here?’ The Nuggets have the young pieces that LeBron wants around him. They do.”
Several teams have been mentioned in the LeBron Sweepstakes, but this is the first time anyone has brought up Denver.
James has surprised us before with his decisions, but if he decides to go to Denver, it would be outright shocking.
