Former NFL Head Coach Dennis Green Dies At 67

Former NFL head coach Dennis Green passed away today. He was 67. 

Green, who most recently coached the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, died of cardiac arrest. 

The Pennsylvania native coached at the college level as well. He was the head coach of Northwestern and Stanford. He played collegiately at Iowa.

Green is perhaps best known for his famous "crown them" rant following a loss to the Chicago Bears in 2006.

Green was an NFL head coach for 13 seasons, leading the Vikings from 1992-2001 and the Cardinals from 2004-06. He had a career record of 113-94, reaching the NFL Playoffs eight times. 

The former Iowa Hawkeye coached in the United Football League from 2009-11.
