The offensive guard tweeted a pretty heartfelt commitment statement:
“In 2015 I visited, for the 1st time, a University I had grown to admire before I even dreamt of playing college football,” Ndoma-Ogar tweeted. “As the dream started to become a reality, I began a journey where I visited nearly 50 college program that had all the resources to aide in my development on and off the field. I met amazing coaches that took time to get to know me and my family, and I hope will continue to be role models, mentors and trailblazers I can look up to long after the recruiting process ends
So this same University that has shown a consistent and genuine interest in me since the Summer of 2015, has welcomed me on campus multiple time, holds a locker room of familiar faces and teammates, and represents where my older brother will soon earn his college degree… is the University that I proudly look forward to spending 4-5 years of college. It is for these reasons that I announce my commitment to the UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA!
I would like to thank my family, the many coaches and teammates along the way, my mentors, and the OU coaches. I am excited about what the future holds and proud to call myself a Sooner!! #OUDNA
Ndoma-Ogar had almost 40 offers and chose Oklahoma over several other top-tier college football programs including Alabama, Baylor, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and USC.
The highly sought after recruit becomes the 11th commit for Oklahoma’s 2019 class which 247Sports’ Composite currently projects to be the top class in the country.
