A college basketball arena's jumbotron collapsed onto the floor earlier this afternoon. Here's an update on what happened.

The jumbotron at George Washington University's basketball arena, Charles E. Smith Center jumbotron, collapsed and partially shattered today.

The arena underwent a $43 million renovation earlier this decade, which included upgrades to its jumbotron.

George Washington tweeted an update on what happened. The jumbotron collapsed from a lowered position and no one was injured. "The scoreboard dropped unexpectedly from its lowered position just above the floor while undergoing maintenance this afternoon. There were no injuries. The scene is being assessed for damage," GW announced.

Well, that's good.
