The NCAA Tournament is always awesome because of one thing: Emotion. The tournament brings it out more than maybe any other sporting event.

Selection Sunday can also be incredibly emotional, especially for the teams who do not make it in.

We got a taste of that this evening. A heartbreaking photo of a player who missed the NCAA Tournament is going viral.

Middle Tennessee State was one of the big bubble teams this year. They didn't make it in.

MTSU, based on play, deserved to be in the 68-team field. Based on resume, though, the selection committee felt otherwise.

So, the 24-7 Blue Raiders will head to the NIT (or not play at all). One player on the squad is taking it especially tough.

Check out this photo of senior guard Nick King. It was tweeted out by Erik Bacharach.

Damn. That's tough to look at.

The NCAA Tournament begins on Tuesday. You can view the full bracket here.
