FOX Sports had layoffs this week.
Monday, FOX Sports, which will now be focusing heavily on its video product, began a round of layoffs that affected much of the online publication’s editorial team. Some big names – like Stewart Mandel and Nick Schwartz – were part of the group let go.
Awful Announcing, which has covered the event in detail, released a list of the employees who won’t be part of FOX Sports moving forward. The list does not include Mandel, but he himself confirmed he’s moving on.
I worked with so many great people in 3 years at https://t.co/oZLocPARm4. As you may have read, the site is going in a different direction.

Here’s the list:
Chris Bahr (editor), Pete Blackburn (writer), Jonathan Bradley (writer), Dan Carson (writer), Chris Chase (writer), Cam DaSilva (writer), Lindsey Foltin (editor), Sam Garner (writer), Dan Graf (editor), Tom Jensen (editor), Dieter Kurtenbach (writer), Damon Martin (writer), Pat Muldowney (senior manager of social media), Caitlin Murray (writer), Andy Nesbitt (social media, The Buzzer), Brett Pollakoff (writer), Ryan Rosenblatt (editor), Nate Scott (editor), Chris Strauss (editor), Nick Schwartz (editor/writer), Aaron Torres (writer), Barry Werner (editor), Aaron West (writer), Tyson Winter (social media).
Between ESPN and FOX’s recent layoffs, there is a ton of talent waiting on the sidelines right now. Let’s hope they all land jobs very soon.
