Here’s what the field looked like while the national anthem played.
There were no NFL players on the field when the national anthem played before today’s Seahawks-Titans game in Tennessee.
Both teams elected to stay in the locker room while The Star-Spangled Banner played before kickoff.

Both teams released statements about their decisions.
From the Titans:
“As a team, we wanted to be unified in our actions today. The players jointly decided this was the best course of action. Our commitment to the military and our community is resolute and the absence of our team for the national anthem shouldn’t be misconstrued as unpatriotic.”
