How Much This Bettor Wins If Loyola Wins The National Title

Loyola's men's basketball team is two wins away from a national championship. No, really.

The Ramblers knocked off No. 9 seed Kansas State in the Elite Eight on Saturday. They're Final Four bound.

Next Saturday, Loyola will take on either Michigan or Florida State in San Antonio. A spot in the national title game is on the line.

Did you bet on Loyola to win the national title this year? Almost surely, no, you didn't.

At least one person did, though.

One bettor placed a $150 bet on Loyola to win the NCAA Tournament. If it happens, he'll cash $45,000.

Loyola will head to the Final Four as an underdog, of course, and if it faces either Duke or Villanova or Kansas in the title game, it'll probably be a heavy underdog in that one.

But the Ramblers are no fluke. They've proven with four straight wins over single-digit seeds that they are very much for real.

Don't count them out in San Antonio.
