Everyone Is Roasting Hugh Freeze And Ian McCaw During Liberty's Press Conference

Hugh Freeze is the new head coach of the Liberty Flames, the same new football program that served as the landing spot for a number of former Baylor athletics staffers after that school's wide-ranging sexual assault scandal.

That includes the school's athletic director, Ian McCaw.

Freeze oversaw an Ole Miss football program that was cited for numerous NCAA violations. It took a sex scandal for Freeze to be ousted from Oxford, though.

The attorneys for former Rebels coach Houston Nutt found a pattern of calls that Freeze had made to an escort service, while reviewing materials for Nutt's defamation case against the school. Freeze resigned after the story broke.

Now, Hugh Freeze is back in coaching after two seasons, and his first press conference as Liberty football coach is...really something.

Given the reasons for Freeze and McCaw's dismissals from their previous jobs, a lot of their words ring hollow.

It is actually hard to keep track of how many of the quotes from this presser are going viral, and getting absolutely lambasted online.

This is probably wrong because college football is consistently absurd, but it will be hard to top the sheer absurdity of this Hugh Freeze press conference.

Freeze and the Flames will host Syracuse to open the 2019 season.
