Hunter Strickland Suspended 6 Games, Bryce Harper Suspended 4 For Yesterday's Brawl

Bryce Harper fights with Hunter Strickland.

The suspensions are in for Hunter Strickland and Bryce Harper.

Strickland was suspended for six games and Harper for four for their roles in yesterday's wild brawl between the San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals.

Strickland hit Harper with 98-mph fastball, and the star outfielder charged the mound and threw his helmet, triggering the melee.

There was some speculation that Harper could get a longer suspension than Strickland, but that was not the case.

Most importantly, both players are appealing the punishment, meaning they are both available to play tonight when the Nationals and Giants square off again.
