The Chicago Bears have lost back-to-back games, as they were one-yard short from tying the New England Patriots on Sunday. With the New York Jets traveling to the Windy City this weekend, most fans will wait anxiously for the game status of Khalil Mack.

Mack was active last weekend, but he wasn't able to make a huge impact. In fact, the All-Pro linebacker was held without a sack.

Although his status is still up in the air for this Sunday, Mack did not participate in today's practice.

It's become very apparent that Mack is the engine of Chicago's defense, as the entire unit thrives when he's making plays. During the Bears' three-game winning streak, the star pass rusher had four sacks.

Over the past two games, which the Bears have lost, Mack hasn't registered a sack.

While Chicago will certainly be favorites against New York on Sunday, the Bears will definitely need their best player on the field.

Stay tuned.
