The Cleveland Browns are getting dismantled on both sides of the football against the Houston Texans. It’s been particularly rough for first-round picks Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward, considering their recent success entering this matchup.
Mayfield already has three interceptions this afternoon, which will certainly draw tons of critics. On the defensive side of the ball, Ward went down with an unfortunate injury in the first half.
Ward is reportedly being evaluated for a shoulder injury and a concussion, but the team officially just listed the concussion.

Nonetheless, the rookie cornerback has taken a trip to the locker room.
Browns rookie CB Denzel Ward was in the medical tent for a while. He is now walking to the locker room with the medical staff.

The former Ohio State star has three interceptions on the season, making his absence huge for Cleveland’s secondary. With Houston’s duo of DeAndre Hopkins and Demaryius Thomas destroying defenses on a weekly basis, the Browns would definitely benefit from having Ward back on the field.
If he’s out for the remainder of the game, expect T.J. Carrie to assume a large role.
