After missing the past two practices with an injury, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally received good news involving Chris Godwin.

Tampa Bay lost its previous game in heartbreaking fashion as kicker Matt Gay missed a field goal for the win as time expired. The team owns a 1-2 record through the first three weeks of the season.

Godwin is off to a nice start this season, totaling 14 receptions for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He's doing this while sharing the bulk of the targets with Mike Evans, who ripped apart the Giants' secondary in Week 3.

Despite missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to a hip injury, the former third-round pick returned to practice on Friday.

When the Buccaneers release their official injury report it'll indicate if Godwin was a full participant or not.

Either way, it's an encouraging sign for the Bucs.

On Sunday, the Buccaneers have to face the Los Angeles Rams on the road. Not having Godwin would be a tough blow for their offense, especially when they're trying to stay in stride with Sean McVay's high-powered offense.

Even in the event that Godwin was limited in practice this afternoon, the fact that he's back in action is a good sign for this weekend.
