While the Los Angeles Chargers have a favorable matchup this weekend, it's possible that Phillip Rivers could be without his best wideout. Not only did the Bolts get overpowered by the Rams last weekend, but it turns out that Keenan Allen suffered an injury during the game.

Allen is currently dealing with soreness in his knee, resulting in him missing practice the last two days. Through three games, the superstar wide receiver has 17 receptions for 219 yards.

Chargers beat reporter Sam Fortier said Anthony Lynn is taking the cautious route with Allen.

If Allen isn't healthy enough to compete on Sunday, the Chargers still have enough weapons at their disposal. Whether it's Melvin Gordon making plays or Mike Williams emerging into a reliable target, Los Angeles could dominate against San Francisco.

The 49ers will be without Richard Sherman in their secondary, which should help the Chargers move the ball effectively.

With the injury report coming out later today, it's crucial for Allen to participate in some capacity during practice.

Stay tuned.
