If the Minnesota Vikings want to keep pace with the Chicago Bears, they’ll need to beat the Detroit Lions today. Unfortunately, that task becomes a little more difficult with the last news on star WR Stefon Diggs.
The Vikings have announced that Diggs is inactive today and won’t be playing against the Lions.
Diggs sustained a rib injury last week against the New Orleans Saints – though not before posting ten receptions for 119 yards and a TD.
He is the team’s second leading receiver behind WR Adam Thielen.

Alongside the sensational Adam Thielen, Diggs has been proving himself as a reliable target for QB Kirk Cousins.
Diggs is having a career year, averaging a career-high 73.4 yards per game and over seven catches per game.
Though he has started the majority of games for the Vikings since being drafted in 2015, he has yet to top 1,000 yards in a season.
At 4-3-1 on the season, the Vikings are a half game behind the Chicago Bears in the NFC North, but only a half game above their arch-rivals the Green Bay Packers.
